What is the CSSB Research Hotel?

Empowering the next generation of scientists is an integral element of the CSSB’s mission. To help young researchers who are looking to make the transition from post doc to independent principle investigator, CSSB is implementing a Research Hotel. This means that approximately 20% of the CSSB building has been reserved to host up to six external research groups. The CSSB Research Hotel is open to all applicants, regardless of whether they belong to a CSSB’s partner institute or another national or international research institute.

Generally, junior group leaders in charge of small research teams have the opportunity to join the CSSB for up to six years.

What does the CSSB Research Hotel offer?

       - Full integration into CSSB research activities and supported opportunities for
         collaboration
       - Privileged access to research infrastructures and core facilities
       - Active mentoring by senior principle investigators
       - CSSB supported training and funding opportunities
