Bachelor Thesis in Biophysics/Optics UHH

The Kaufmann group is looking for a bachelor student who would like to write their thesis in Biophysics/Optics. Objective are to: Characterize optical aberrations of the point-spread-function (PSF) of cryo super-resolution fluorescence microscopy setup; Use adaptive optics elements to minimize aberrations and enhance resolution and photon detection efficiency; Use adaptive optics to modify PSF and increase single molecule localization precision in axial direction.
