Abstract:
Drug discovery has changed a great deal over the last 30 years, but still has a large random component. Chemical and structural biology have great promise to help with this problem, but the path ahead is still not clear. What can we learn from previous changes in the field to help guide these research areas - and what mistakes should we be sure to avoid?
